Welcome to the UMMC Department of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases web site. We provide a number of clinical services across the spectrum of ambulatory and in-patient care for a wide range of pediatric/adolescent ages at UMMC. We, of course, are pleased to be of assistance in evaluation and management of neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients from anywhere in the state. We also provide evaluation and management of HIV in pregnancy from pre-conception to postpartum. Please use the table below to select the most appropriate provider to contact for the specific clinical question, consult, or referral that you have. As a general rule, Dr. Palmer handles all general Infectious Diseases related consults and adolescent HIV-related consults. Dr. Gay and Dr. Nash will respond for pediatric/perinatal HIV consults. The On Call button will take you to today's call schedule and provide additional contact information.
We also provide support services for women, children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS through a Ryan White Program Part D grant, Central MS Circle of Care. Social services, case managment, and peer counseling are available by contacting the CMCOC office at 601-815-1323 or toll-free at 877-448-2279. We have an excellent mix of RN Case Managers, Social Workers, and other program staff who address the wide scope of medical and psychosocial needs of our patients. Information on who they are and how to contact them is available by selecting the Staff button.
